Let us know! We regularly get involved with events across Greater Manchester, providing canoeing and other water-based activities, and we’d love to help you! Even if there is no water nearby, we can bring our dry land kayak to give people a taste of canoeing without having to worry about getting wet! Below are some examples of what we can offer.
Merseyfest, Chorlton
Merseyfest is an annual celebration and an opportunity for the local community to come together to enjoy activities such as: Live performances Craft activities Rides & Inflatables.
In 2022, we took along our KayakPro Ergo machines and lots of other activities for children and young people to enjoy. Our bright gazebo was used to display information about our local project including at the nearby Chorlton Water Park.
Miles Platting Fun Day
WAC on Tour!
We love to take our trailer of mixed craft to various locations across Greater Manchester. This was an exciting fun day that we delivered in Miles Platting on the Rochdale Canal.
Kayaks, stand-up-paddleboards, bouncy castles and exciting play activities were on offer for local children and young people to enjoy.
Manchester Day Parade
A group of girls and young women from WAC took to the streets of Manchester in 2022 to celebrate Manchester Day. The theme was 'Take a Walk on the Wild Side!'
They were dressed as mini kayaks and even had decorated paddles. It was a particularly special parade in 2022 as it was the first since the pandemic.
