Directions to WAC WAC is off the beaten track so is tricky to
find but it is signposted from Maddison Road, Buckley Street and the
footbridge over the canal. Sat Nav or computer directions using M43 6ES will lead you to Maddison Road (via Mellor Street off Ashton New Road), but please note we are on the canal, not the road. Access to our centre and the canal is via a footpath from the turning circle at the end of Maddison Road/beginning of High Bank Road. When approaching from Manchester: To get to our car park from Ashton New Road (A662), turn right into Buckley Street. Drive to the very end, veering right to follow an unmade/dirt road. At the end you will face a set of black metal gates and a brick cottage called 'Fairfield' - you are in the right place! Access to our car park is through these gates and then through another set of black metal gates to your immediate right. We share access with the owner of 'Fairfield' house and British Waterways. Please ensure that the first set of gates are closed behind you to prevent other vehicles straying onto the site. Thanks When approaching from Ashton-under-Lyne or the M60: The M60 Junction 23 (Ashton-under-Lyne turn-off) is 10 minutes away for our centre. From the M60 follow signs for Manchester on the A635 Manchester Road (you will pass the Snipe Retail Park on your left) and then at traffic lights the road splits into 4 lanes - get in the 3rd lane and follow signs for Droylsden A662. Continue on this road (A662 Droylsden Road) until Buckley Street (just after Tesco which is to your right). Turn left into Buckley Street.
